  • In this recipe, a compote is prepared for 12 3-liter cans. You can adjust the amount of ingredients, depending on the desired amount of compote. Remove the tails with leaves from fresh cherries.
  • We thoroughly rinse it under running water and sort it out in order to prevent the ingress of possibly rotten berries. Banks, in which there will be compote, wash and dry in advance.
  • Fill about 1/3 of the jar with berries.
  • We fall asleep granulated sugar to the cherry. We use 150 grams per can. If desired, you can add more sugar to make the compote sweeter.
  • We close the jars with lids and let the cherries stand in the sugar so that they let the juice out.
  • We boil water. You can do this in a saucepan so that the required amount of liquid is immediately ready. Pour boiling water over the cherries with sugar and roll up. Turn the cans upside down and wrap them well. We let the compote brew for a day and you can put it in the basement. Pour the finished drink into glasses and serve to the table.   • Citric acid - ¼ tsp
  • Granulated sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • Drinking water - 3 liters.

Cooking process:

  1. We wash the cherries thoroughly, remove the tails and sort them out in order to prevent rotten berries from getting into.
  2. We fill a 3 liter jar with cherries about 1/3 full. The recipe indicates the amount of ingredients from the consumption per can. Pour boiling water over everything, cover with a lid and let stand for about 10 minutes.
  3. Now pour the contents of the cans into a deep saucepan, add citric acid and granulated sugar. Bring the liquid to a boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar completely.

  2. We remove the tails from the gooseberry along with the inflorescences.
  3. Remove the tails and leaves from the cherries.
  4. We send gooseberries to a clean jar.
  5. Add cherries on top.
  6. Gently fill the berries with hot water so that the jar does not burst, cover with a lid and leave for about 20 minutes.
  7. After this time, pour the liquid from the jar into a suitable saucepan, add 300 grams of sugar, stir and bring to a boil. Pour the resulting syrup back to the gooseberries and cherries and roll up the lid. Turn the jar upside down, wrap it in a blanket and let it cool completely.
